Longtime West End Gallery favorite Brian Keeler recently opened a major one-man show titled Vision of Rhythm at the Pauly Friedman Gallery at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA. It features a group of Keeler’s recent trademark landscapes and townscapes done in his own style that features a strong and evocative palette of colors and powerful compositions. His work is always one-of-a-kind and this is surely not a show to be missed.
In conjunction with this show, Brian recently did an interview that aired on the show ArtScene that is carried by WVIA-Pubic Broadcasting in eastern Pennsylvania. It’s a great interview that opens with a reading from the catalog for his show of an essay from American Artist Magazine editor Stephen Doherty who talks about Brian’s long and prodigious career and how he has carved a unique niche in the American art scene. Brian also describes his motivations and much of his process. Great listening for artists and art-lovers alike.
